Thanks Brian.
I have printed out your posts and will mull over them a
while. I do have an immediate reaction however: I think
you're too fast in disposing the orthodox/liberal distinction.
I do hear what your saying. I think the political/non-political
distinction is there absolutely, but it is spread across
the orthodox/liberal spectrum. Then we have two axes, and
four quadrants: orthodox-political, orthodox-nonpolitical,
liberal-political and liberal-nonpolitical.
